Introduction

The School of Para-Veterinary Sciences at Ardakan University commenced its activities in 2012 with the Associate Degree in Veterinary Medicine. It has since expanded by adding the Bachelor’s degree programs in Non-continuous and Continuous Veterinary Laboratory Sciences and Master’s degree programs in Animal Biology, as well as Food Hygiene and Quality Control. In the academic year 2019–2020, thanks to the generosity of Mr. Haj Jalah Taghavi Zadeh and the persistent efforts of Dr. Behjati, the esteemed President of Ardakan University, the faculty building was completed and put into operation as a separate department, fully equipped with all necessary amenities. Currently, the School has 9 faculty members, 239 students, and 307 graduates.

Objectives of the School of Para-Veterinary Sciences

  • Conducting research plans in line with developmental activities and fostering connections between basic and applied sciences, with the capacity to secure funding and resources from various sources within the province and nationally.

  • Utilizing research and development programs of the Islamic Republic of Iran to advance research areas in veterinary medicine, histology, stem cells, parasitology, and food hygiene.

  • Training specialized and skilled human resources to provide therapeutic, laboratory, and research services in various fields of veterinary sciences, basic sciences, and laboratory sciences.

  • Organizing scientific conferences at the national, regional, and international levels in the fields of veterinary and basic sciences
